My boys

Alright, it has been far too long since I blogged last and there are just too many things that are going to be happening in the next couple months that will need to be posted. Can't slack any longer! First, to play a little catch up...

The last 3 months have brought so much change for our family. The biggest change was the arrival of Mr. Cai (love that little man!), but the last 3 months have also included transitioning Eli to a toddler bed (for the record...I thought I was a morning person until e started waking up consistently at 0430-0500...I guess I am not that early of a morning person! haha!) and the other big event was getting orders to move to Rota, Spain. SPAIN! Can you believe it! God has given us this huge blessing and we can hardly wait to see what He has in store for us while we are there. But, I can't get ahead of myself! Back to the present...

We are just loving watching these boys grow up. Cai is changing before our eyes! The smiles and giggles melt my heart every time. I find myself doing anything and everything just to get him to laugh again! (Yes, I am wrapped around his little finger!) Eli (man that kid is funny!) is talking more and more and some how has even more energy than before. It is so fun to see how his little mind works and figures things out. (Make sure you look for the chalk face, mess maker, and tattoo artist below!) It is an incredible joy and blessing to watch David with these two little men. Seriously am in love with the men in my life!

Yes, there are a lot of pictures, but like I said, I am playing catch up!

A baby shower for two (soon to be three) of my favorite people

This post is far over due! (haha...no pun intended...) Several many weeks ago we had the privileged of throwing a shower for our dear friends (basically family) Cat and Will (or as you have read before Auntie LoLo and Uncle TayTay). They were sweet enough to drive back down to Norfolk to see all the new babies (Micaiah was 16 days old, Caleb 12 days old and Lilli was 4 days old...and yes they were all at the party!) and how could we not throw them a shower when Cat had been involved with all of ours! Seriously! We would be total slackers to not pour out a fraction of the love that Cat continually gives to each of us. So even though we were all a little crazy down here (if you don't believe me just check out the last set of pictures...we were lucky just to get pictures!), we really are beyond excited to meet this sweet little boy!!! We love you guys so much! And, yes I am claiming rights to be his Auntie. (ps...thank you Anna for helping me get everything together! Using the onesie as bunting was adorable! Couldn't have done it without you! And Sarah, you are my lifesaver!)

A visit from family!

I have decided that going through child birth more often may be worth it if for no other reason than both sides of our family came to visit us! It was only the second time in 10 years that our parents had seen each other (the other time was 5 years ago in Minnesota at our wedding). Pretty much, we had a blast around here! Per practice of the midwifery center that I delivered at I was pretty much on bed-rest. Even though I had Cai completely naturally and with no tears I was still banned from walking around the block and picking up anything (including Eli) for 10-14 days. Ummmm....I was going CRAZY! I understand completely that they want me to give my body time to heal, but I was going stir crazy in our apartment (next time around our place needs at least a yard and maybe even a pool). To keep me sane the family made me get out and pushed me around in a wheelchair everywhere we went (so for all of you that want to know we now know where to get the wheelchairs and whether they are free/need to rent at several many places in Norfolk including the mall, zoo, and Target...haha!). We even made it to the beach for all of the landlocked members of the family.

It was such a joy to have our family here! They are hysterical and crazy...

...but the absolute best! What a huge help to have them all here and if nothing else the perfect distraction for Eli to help him transition into his role as a big brother. There aren't enough words out there to express just how much I love our family and the blessing it was to my heart to see them holding Micaiah and loving on Eli.

Love each and every one of you!!!
