Mall of America

This past Tuesday we all took a ride into the cities to spend the day at the Mall of America! Shopping, eating, walking...(oh my! haha!)...visit to the aquarium (which included going behind the scenes and seeing even more...sadly, no pictures allowed), mini-gulf, smoothies and ice cream. We had a blast!

Busy boy! Good thing there is lots of room to run around.

For those of you who know the Garland side of me you know how much we love animals. For those of you who have not experienced that side as much Garland = Anything Nature! Walking into the aquarium even brought some feeling of being homesick (snorkeling and ocean time very much missed) to some of us. Josh has always been the King of the Animals in our family, but I think Kahla takes the cake for LOVING sharks! Seriously! LOVES THEM!

Maybe a little too excited to see the sharks...haha (and yes...the shark picture above is also from Kahla!)

Grabbing a snack while everyone else had to wait...hehe
Mall of America also has Lego Land. I immediately thought off all my nephews and how much they would love to be there! Apparently Lego Land counts their Legos because they say that they have lost 170,000. Who is hiding Legos in there pockets?

I don't know if you can tell just how big this Lego Transformer is, but it is at least 2 1/2 stories tall.

Don't worry, Eli got very excited for all of you!

I could not help but think of Liam as soon as I saw this WALL of Lego! The wall is huge!

Had to add this picture...they are just too cute!
Shop 'till you drop!
The trip home was a little rough for the e monster, but thanks to Uncle Awesome there were plenty of laughs.

I think he wasn't very happy to be strapped back in his car seat after finding the jackpot of snacks. Sorry Eli...those aren't for you.

Got to love Minnesota!

Summer Fun!

What could be better than cooling off on a hot Minnesota day? How about cooling off in an antique basin used by Eli's Great Great Grandma while his mommy takes tons of pictures? Now that is what I call fun!

These two have so much fun together!

My baby boy is so patient with me, for that matter, so is the rest of my family. Eli let me take another bunch of pictures while my family was in the background blowing bubbles, distracting, and trying to get Eli to look. I just can't get enough of this kid! And, thank you wonderful family for all your help!!!

First Haircut

We did it! June 16, 2012 marks Eli's first haircut! He did such a great job, too. We took him to a place here in town where Kristi (who is AMAZING!) cut his hair for me. She was so good with him. Auntie Pork held him and before we knew it the cute little man turned into the handsome little man!

The before pictures...

Here we go...cape and all!

Give him a comb and he is good to go! haha

He is so funny. He saw his hair falling and was very intrigued.

Look at our handsome little man!

And yes...for those who are wondering, I did save some of his hair.

Having so much fun!

I can't believe how time flies! I meant to get these pictures up a LONG time ago...
We had a wonderful visit from my Uncle Ben's family (my dad's brother).

Such a good looking family!

 Hanging with his GREAT Uncle

Ryan and his beautiful fiance Jocelyn

 Hanging out with Aunt Jackie

We are a pretty crazy family! But, we have a lot of fun! Even though it looks like he is trying to throw Grandma in the lake...I will go to his defense...I think she actually asked for him to help her off the dock...

Don't forget the marshmallow game!
 (A little blurry...but hysterical!)

Oh Uncle Ben, I love you so much!

Love these two girls!

Meghan and Eli, these two are just too cute!

We also had a visit from my Great Aunt and Uncle. That means they are Eli's Great Great Aunt and Uncle!!!!

And Nate came to visit, too!

We are staying very busy around here with marching band. It is a blast to see how much the band improves even from day to day. They have taken first a couple times now and we have a ton of parades to go!

If you can't tell, she is my favorite flute player! EVER!
