I am married to the love of my life!

Today is a very important day! It is our 4 year Anniversary! I am sure that there are many of you out there that think you are married to the most amazing man. Well, I am here to disappoint all of you...I am actually married to THE most amazing man! He is perfect for me! Getting to be married to my best friend has been the greatest blessing. I will save all the mushy gooshy stuff...but I do have a couple pictures to share...

A couple months later...but these pictures were taken where David asked me to marry him. When he asked there was no snow, we were able to walk on the dock, and yes Babe...the lake was a little slushy!

So glad I said, "yes!" But, there really was never a question of what my answer would be.

As you can see, this dock is very special to us. For one, it is actually about 100 yards from where my dad asked my mom to marry him (didn't know that until after David asked me). Two, it is located on one of my most favorite lakes, Lake Ripley, in our little tiny town of Litchfield.

David, I would not trade the last 4 years with you for anything. All I can say is that I pray I get many many more years to spend with you! I love you!

As most of you know David is on deployment so was not able to be here in person with me. So, our little man stepped in for the day.

Love you, David!!!!

(Thank you Josh for taking our pictures.)

Our Memorial Day Weekend

This past weekend was PACKED full! From the last post you can see that it started with an open house on Saturday, we emptied out my Grandpa's house on Sunday after church so that it is ready for the sale, and then all the events of Memorial day. Memorial day started with the very small but fun parade here in town. We all went out to watch and saw Kahla march in the band. I am so excited for all the parades that are to come!

The line up

Waiting with Uncle Awesome for the parade to start

Having so much fun walking with Great Grandma...

 ...and Mima

 Parade Time!!!

We will be following this band all summer and we are so excited! They don't normally march with the US flag, but it looked awesome for Memorial Day!

Best looking flute player ever!  (2nd from the right...go Kahla!)

After the parade we went out to the cemetery for the Memorial Day service and to put flowers out at my Grandma's grave. Got some fun pictures of Eli with Great Grandpa Roy.

The town lines the road to the cemetery with flags every year, one of my absolute favorite things about this town! I made Josh take some pictures of Eli and I for David...I will be nice and let you all see them, too.

We finished off the weekend celebrating my mom and dad's 30 year Anniversary! I could not ask for better parents. They are an absolute blessing and incredible examples. We love you mom and dad!!!

Completely unrelated...but still fun...we had a couple of other fun activities going on around here this past weekend, too.

The cornish hens hatched!

We bought Uncle Awesome a new mattress! So comfy!

And had a hot dog roast!

If you can't tell, we are enjoying being here in MN.

A very fun day!

Today we got to be a part of a very special event. Isaac, Kahla's boyfriend, is graduating and his family was brave enough to let us come and help with his open house. They were also sweet enough to humor me and let me take pictures the whole time! haha!

 This is Isaac...and the cake...

...getting all the party supplies up...

haha! Nikki, I love this!

Such a fun family!

So even though it was Isaac's open house, Eli was actually the star of the day...sorry Isaac (ok, so I am biased)!

Cuddling with mommy

Eli hanging out with Al (Isaac's dad)

Eli sharing the spot light with Isaac.

I love my Mima!

Who needs cake when you can eat rocks!

Hanging out with Great Grandma and Grandpa

And, this post would not be complete without these two...they are just too cute and absolutely hysterical!
