Title? I don't need no stinking title!

So you can probably guess who is writing this already but just in case you are only half reading and half watching the World Cup, Kristi made me write since it was, after all, my turn. The weather here has been AWESOME!! It is hot and muggy during the day and then the afternoon/early evenings we get big storms with lots of lightning. I love storms. Sometimes we go out on our screened-in porch and watch the lightning and wait for the thunder to shake the chairs. Good times... School starts on the 6th for me so I'm enjoying the time with Kristi while I have it. Kristi is still waiting to hear back regarding a date for her MRI. She has been feeling better the last few days though so that is good. Thank you for all your prayers and please keep them coming. We also have a spare bedroom so just let us know and we can reserve it for you!

Our New Home...South Carolina

I find myself playing catch-up as I sit down to write this blog. A lot has happened in the last two and a half weeks. While we were still in Washington mom and dad came to visit (had so much fun). We all stayed in a hotel and enjoyed our last couple of days on the West Coast. On the 1st of June David was Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade, was honored with the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (AGAIN!), and was bonged off (farewell from the ship).

That afternoon (still the 1st) we flew out and were supposed to get into Charleston by 2300. However, the airline had other plans for us...we missed our connection in Atlanta (flights fault not ours) and ended up driving to Charleston from Atlanta so David could report on time to school on the morning of the 2nd. (Thank you Lord for the safe drive.)

Since we have arrived it has been nothing but wonderful heat and humidity. I love this place!!!
Here are a couple pictures of our new apartment (sorry for the lighting...we took them at night).
We love the pool...feel like we are at a resort.

Living room to kitchen and dining room

Have to love the Garden Tub!

View from Master into bathroom into walk-in-closet. (love it!)

Very bare but very spacious master.

KITCHEN! I have soooo many cabinets.
We also have a guest bedroom (hint HINT) and porch but those pictures were blurry when we downloaded them. lol
This past weekend we had the chance to celebrate our 2 year Anniversary, my Birthday and what dad calls FDA (Future Dads of America).... and no I am not pregnant. David surprised me by taking me to a wonderful romantic restaurant in downtown Charleston called The Blossom. We got to sit outside in the garden area under the beautiful Charleston blue sky and have a wonderful meal together. It was wonderful! I love my Husband!!!

And, random, but very fun...the first week we were here we got to have lunch with Admiral Mullen and his wife. There were only 5 couples invited to the luncheon and I actually had the opportunity to sit next to Admiral Mullen's wife. (In the picture they are the ones standing right next to us.) A huge honor and privilege. I didn't know this, so for those of you who are like me and not like David, Admiral Mullen is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (in other words, the biggest man in all of the military...very important).
