Winter Wonderland

It is seriously a Winter Wonderland here!!! What a fun Merry Christmas present. Our Christmas Eve Services were almost cancelled yesterday, but we decided we live in Minnesota and we are going to go ahead. We had at least 4 inches fall yesterday as you can see below, but the best was yet to come, and actually, is still coming. Evergreens right outside our sunroom on Christmas Eve Day.
The deck, lots of snow...but just wait...

Christmas Day!!! Same trees as the ones that were outside with sunroom above. We had around 10 inches fall last night.

And at least 3 inches more today when I took this picture.

Our snow blower died!!!!

But, thankfully my Grandparents live 7 houses down and theirs works.

Kahla and I helping.

Trying to uncover the cars.

Ok, so there was a lot of playing, snowballs, and getting shoved in the snow.

Dad, your awesome!!!

Sadly, this picture was taken about and hour and a half after we had started shoveling. We started at 1100 and this pic was taken at 1230. I just went outside again, it is 1400 and there is another inch on the ground. Funny part, it is still snowing and there is still a lot of snow to come. Thankfully where we are the weather is mild and the wind is not really blowing.
If it is going to snow, this is the perfect Christmas Storm.
Merry Christmas!!!

Live Nativity - 5 degrees F

Sorry the pictures are little blurry! They were taken from the car and it was cold. Thankfully we were in the nice "warm" (at least compared to outside) car and if you look close Josh is Joseph so we have to rub in the fact that we were "warmer" then him. (I know, I am such a mean big sister!) Yes, that is a real camel in Minnesota in the middle of winter and he is very cool! The live nativity is an outreach to our community. Maybe they won't come in the doors of the church, but it doesn't hurt anyone to drive through a church parking lot!

The Cookie!

The cookie picture that I posted below is actually one that many of you have already tried. It is the cookie that Uncle Duane loves and the recipe that Josh wouldn't let me give away. All we did was add some food coloring a little cocoa and made them a different shape!!! They are sooooo yummy! But, they really do look gross. We actually made my mom, dad, and Kahla try them with their eyes shut first so the look wouldn't effect their taste.

Cookie Time

I know it has been a long time since I posted anything, but I could not pass this up. Don't you just love our most creative cookies ever. They taste amazing but look horrible. Drum roll please...Santa Sludge.
